What is your favorite restaurant in the area (other than the one you own) and why?
Ombra is my favorite restaurant! They have the best filet on island, pasta is crazy delicious, and I appreciate the professionalism of the wait staff.

Is there a food you wouldn’t eat as a child that you would eat now?
Brussel sprouts

Is there a bucket list restaurant you’re dying to try?
Hogshead Kitchen

Who or what is your inspiration in the F&B industry?
My inspiration for getting into the F&B industry was a result of not being legally allowed to serve food in a distillery setting. It required us to get creative and to build a restaurant concept so we could have one co-located at Burnt Church Distillery.

Cellphones at the table: is that acceptable in our current climate or bad form?
I don’t mind if folks are surfing on their phones at the table, but I don’t think it’s cool to have a full-on conversation while dining.

If you had to eat Italian or Mexican food every day for the rest of your life, what would you choose?
Italian, all day, every day!

What does hospitality mean to you?
Hospitality means connecting with our customer from the moment they walk in the door, during the ordering process, the dining experience and even as they exit the store. It’s important to me that they can experience the thought and quality of the interiors, the process, and ultimately the food. We love creating spaces with cool vibes and good food.

What do you like to make for yourself/family at home?
Totally debating whether or not I should admit this, but here goes. I love to mix Dinty Moore beef stew with Spaghettios, cook in a saucepan, add Frank’s Red Hot and serve! So yummy!

What show are you binge-watching now?
Just finished Stranger Things season three.
