What are the three most important lessons you have learned building your business?
Customer service is essential; customer satisfaction is imperative; and advertising is key.
When you first started, what was the biggest challenge when it came to cultivating clients/customers?
We have a large customer base in our computer, so advertisement has been crucial as well as bringing in additional hairstylists. We now have four hairstylists and have added a boutique.
On those impossible days, what motivates you to keep going?
I was a registered nurse for 25 years, so I knew what impossible days were coming into business. Jordan and I always remember to keep it “low key” and enjoy meeting previous customers as well as new clients.
What inspired you to start your business?
I realized that my daughter Jordan had a passion for makeup and fashion, so I purchased the business from Teresa Smith & Marcy Beach, the prior owners. They have been instrumental in our training and success. Teresa has agreed to stay on as manager. She and Marcy are both masters of their craft.
Do you have a motivational quote?
“A woman is the full circle. Within her is the power to create, nurture, and transform.” -Diane Mariechild
