First thing you do every morning?
This may sound clique but count my blessings.

What is something unusual about you?
I’m part elf and was born with one pointy ear. I can even wiggle it without touching it.

Who in your life do you trust the most?
My sisters- they will always be honest with me.

What are you afraid of?
Better questions is what am I not afraid of…

What motivates you?
Trying to be the best role model I can be for my students.

If you could switch places with anyone for a day who would it be?
Carrie Underwood

If you could leave right now, where would you go?
France to experience the celebration of winning the World Cup.

Where is your favorite spot in Hilton Head or Bluffton?
The beach- it’s my happy place.

Do you have a favorite holiday tradition?
Christmas’ Eve’s Italian “7 fishes” dinner. My grandparents passed this tradition on to my
dad, and I will pass it on to my children.

Would money buy you happiness?
Money provides the ability to do more good but no, it does not buy happiness.

What are two of your strengths?
1. My ability to laugh at myself to lighten a mood. 2. My willingness to try new things and jump into the unknown.

Person you most look up to.
My mom for her endless outpouring of love and support and her ability to always persevere.

How do you spend your free time?
In the fall I co-coach Girls on the Run, and in the spring I coach middle school soccer. One the weekends, of course, you can find me on the beach.

Are you spiritual or religious? If so, how?
I am religious. I grew up Catholic, went to a Catholic high school but recently fell in love with the Church of Christ.

Do you have a pet? If so, what kind and name?
Yes, I have a dog named Murphy. He is a rescue but we think part border collie and part pit bull.

Corona…always reminds me of summer!

What would you say your greatest accomplishment thus far is?
In college being picked with four other students to present our senior self-study research on education at an International Conference for the Association for the Study of Play (TASP)

Would you say you are a leader or a follower?
Leader, but can go with the flow.

There is a madnatory evacuation for the Lowcountry- what do you not leave home without?
A picture of my family and my running sneakers.

Soccer Without Borders

Why does this charity mean so much to you?
Soccer has had a huge impact in my life. Soccer Without Boarders uses soccer as an opportunity for positive change, to help newcomer refugees and immigrants overcome obstacles for growth, inclusion, and personal success.
