Hit the snooze button at least 4 times!

What is something unusual about you?
i can eat like a growing baby!

Who in your life do you trust the most?
My mother and father, of course.

What are you afraid of?
Anything that touches me in the ocean.

What motivates you?
Watching my students grow and knowing the impact i have on them is lifelong.

If you could switch places with anyone for a day who would it be?

Do you have a favorite holiday tradition?
When i was a little girl, all of my family would gather at my great grandmother’s house for a gift exchange and a delicious home-cooked Christmas meal. It was a time for all the cousins to run around and play with one another and the adult to catch up with each other since it had been so long since the last time they got to see everyone. Homemade mac and cheese and caramel cake were a must and everyone’s favorite….especially the kids.

Would money buy you happiness?

What are two of your strengths?
Multi-tasking and great with children.

Person you most look up to.
My mom. she has taught be strength, courage and the true meaning of unconditional love.

How do you spend your free time?
If I’m not writing lesson plans or grading papers, you’ll find me on the beach, working out or traveling.

Are you spiritual or religious?
Yes. I believe in the power of prayer and that there is a plan for each and every one of us.

Do you have a pet? If so, what kind and name?
Not in Hilton Head sadly. My dog is in ATL with my family

What would you say is your greatest accomplishment this far is?
Following my dream to become a teacher and changing the lives of children everyday.

Leader or Follower?
I’m a teacher, so I’d have to say a leader!

There is a mandatory evacuation for the Lowcountry- what do you not leave home without?
My best friend, Kate, was killed tragically in a car accident 2 years ago and i wouldn’t leave home with the picture of us two that belonged to her.

Favorite local bar or restaurant?
Java Burrito

Charity you would like to play for?
Special Olympics

Why does this charity mean so much to you?
I was inspired everyday by one of my former students who had Spina Bifida. She came to school with a smile on her face, appreciated every little thing in life and refused to let her disability take over her life or her positive mindset.
