First thing you do every morning?
Turn off all seven of my alarms on my phone (if I’m working) and immediately make my way to the coffee pot. I must have my coffee.

What is something unusual about you?
I’ve never missed a day of school- from kindergarten – 12th; college; my work. I’ve been blessed to never had to miss any.

Who in your life do you trust the most?
My mom!

What are you afraid of?
The unknown.

What motivates you?
My faith mostly; then my students. They’re the reason I love to do what I do.

If you could switch places with anyone for a day who would it be?
Reese Witherspoon.

If you could leave right now, where would you go?
Nice, France.

Where is your favorite spot in Hilton Head or Bluffton?
I love to hang out in Sea Pines at the Beach Club.

Do you have a favorite holiday tradition?
Yes! I love Christmas! I love to do the 12 days of wearing ugly Christmas sweaters, watch Christmas movies from the 1st to 25th, throw a Christmas party and attend a few and put a tree in my classroom that’s pink and has book covers as ornaments.

Would money buy you happiness?
I think it can make you happen to a certain degree and you can buy things that make you feel joy, but I don’t think it can fully buy you happiness.

What are two of your strengths?
Two strengths are that I try to consistently stay positive and that I’m trustworthy.

Person you most look up to?
I’ve said this before, but my mom. She sacrificed so much for me over the years, and I love her for that.

How do you spend your free time?
I adore finding a sweet little spot and reading my book there; I also love to hang out with my best friends – whether that be taking spontaneous road trips or chilling at the beach. We also love to go to see movies together.

Are you spiritual or religious?
I am religious. I am a Christian and currently attend Lowcountry Community Church, which I love.

Do you have a pet? If so, what kind and name?
I do! He’s a Chihuahua named Pepito.

Coffee with French Vanilla.

Bubbly, Bright, and Kind.

What would you say is your greatest accomplishment this far is?
I think my greatest accomplishment would be taking a risk and moving here, as most of my family are still in Kentucky.

There is a mandatory evacuation for the Lowcountry- what do you not leave home without?
My dog, memory box, my favorite signed books, Lily Pulitzer dresses, and my pictures of family/friends.

Charity you would like to play for?
Back to School Fun Day

Why does this charity mean so much to you?
I love this charity because it coincides with my passion for teaching and caring for my students. This charity provides free backpacks filled with school supplies to low income families who are unable to provide the necessities for the start of the school year, and as a teacher, this is so important to support.
