Station 300: Food, Family, Fun

Author: Kitty Bartell

This is not your average bowling alley. Station 300 in Bluffton may have 24 lanes that look somewhat like your average bowling alley…that is if you can overlook the high-tech machines and screens, the spacious, bright, and clean facility, the games, and the yummy food being served lane-side and at the snack bar. Station 300 is decidedly not your average bowling alley; it is a 33,000-square-foot, one-of-a-kind, family entertainment center, where attention has been given to every detail of your experience.

“We’re so much more than a bowling alley,” said Lisa Kennedy, Station 300’s events department manager. “We have three managers overseeing the three major components here: the entertainment side with the bowling and arcade, the event side, and of course the food and beverage side. That brings us all together.”

The bowling and arcade experience at Station 300 provide guests with myriad options for planning events. Electronic scoring and drop-down screens are located at each bowling lane where guests may request shows, games, or movies; seating is situated throughout for socializing, eating, or of course, waiting your turn to bowl; and for before, during, or after bowling, the 49 arcade games (with more to come) are just steps away. Features like Galactic Bowling (lights, strobes, action!), bumpers programmable by individual names, and lane-side food service are all customizable choices.

Scheduling an event or party is a Station 300 specialty. Their VIP Suite is positioned strategically across from Zeppelins full-service bar and restaurant, where it may be said some of the best pizza is made, and where daily specials and menu choices have some guests stopping by just for the food and drinks. Reserving the six private bowling lanes for parties up to 50 guests, the experience is on another bowling level, with complete privacy if desired, comfortable couches, tables, bowling balls, shoes, glow-in-dark Galactic lighting, and dedicated food and beverages service.

Whether scheduling a child’s birthday party, a reunion, a holiday party, a company bash, a church group, or a fundraiser, Kennedy is the person to take you through all that Station 300 has to offer. Every event is customizable from catering to reserving the entire facility for up to 836 people, to Bowling and Arcade Birthday Bashes, including food and beverages, invitations, favors, decorations, games, and their Laser Maze Challenge. Since opening in 2012, Station 300 has built a special connection to the local community, supporting causes, hosting fundraisers benefitting local charities, appreciation parties for area businesses, and even the local police department during Hurricane Irma.

With active leagues scheduled throughout the week, and ongoing hourly bowling, Station 300 decks the place out for the holidays. And right now, they are offering their annual gift card promotion—great discounts! “We get people calling from all over the country,” Kennedy said. “They’re buying gift cards for family who live in the area, and we’ll mail it to them with a nice little card.”

Station 300 is most certainly not your average bowling alley.
