Cocktails at Birdie's

Cocktails at Birdie’s was a lifestyle event that challenged owner Michelle Taylor and her creative team in a whole new way. In their first year on Hilton Head Island, they’ve stayed true to their mission, “offering a beautiful space for women to gather, laugh, shop, and be you,” all while supporting their clients in finding the right wardrobe pieces to look good and feel good.
For Taylor, Cocktails at Birdie’s was about slowing down and being present. “In such a fast-paced society, we sometimes forget to take time for ourselves and our friends. This was about slowing things down for a few hours to reconnect and be present with one another.”

Taylor wanted to showcase the store as a space that can be used for conversations and community. She reached out to her friend and creative consultant, Christy Myers, to create a fall-themed tablescape and ambiance for the event. For Taylor, style is a lifestyle. “It’s our way back when; it’s our now; and it’s our 10 years from now. It’s about sharing our successes and discussing our shortcomings. Because ultimately, through our vulnerability comes growth and a better path to truly being our authentic selves.”
